Where we are
Click here for a map of where we are

We are to be found in the pleasant and tranquil Cortijo Puentezuela approximately 1km north of the small town of Castril. We are east of Granada and North of Baza in an area known as the Altiplano de Granada. Approximately 90 mins from Granada airport. The drive is mostly on fast motorway, with 40 km on smaller roads.

From Granada Airport follow the signs for Granada only for short distance until you can join the A92 Signed Jaen, Almaria Murcia. Follow the A92 West to Guadix where the A 92 splits. Take the branch towards Murcia and follow this towards Baza. Passing Baza you leave the motorway where it is signed Sierra de Castril and Benamaurel. Turn left at the end of the slip road and head trough Benamaurel after Benamaurel take the second junction (after about3km) signed Castril. Follow this road for around 20km through Las Almontaras to a T junction. Take a left towards Castril. Follow the road past a petrol Station on the left and a further 200m turn right at the sign for Sierra de Castril. Follow this for 200m and fork left we are 1 km along the track.

We are 2 and a half hours from Alicante, Murcia and Almeria airports.

From Murcia and Alicante Airports you need to get onto the A7 auto route. This is a little more difficult from Murcia airport. At Murcia come off the auto route mediterianiano(A7) and head north on another motorway (C 415) past Mula and Bullas to Caravaca then take the C330 to Puebla de Don Fadrique. Then the A330 to Huesca. At Huesca take the A326 towards Castril. After about 15 km you go through Fatima then 2 km further on you will pass a Repsol petrol station on the left. 250 m further on there is a junction on the right signed  Sierra De Castril. Take that turn, after 200m fork left. Follow the this for 1 km along the track.

From Almaria follow the A 92 north and the the A 925 towards Guadix, where you join the A92 again towards Murcia and follow this towards Baza.
